It's been quite a while since the me who first wrote this old description. 13 whole years. Reading back over it again it feels like a whole different person ago. I wondered if I should even be bothering with re-uploading it… but it was the first upload, and was a sort of milestone adorable derpy spiky lizard taur version of Kree… so here it is again.

So I guess I should upload something to show that I am some sort of artist of some description.

This here is Kree, the Basilisk. Eight limbs, kinda taur-y, spikes-that-I-can't-fathom-why-I-added-them-because-they-take-so-damn-long-to-draw. I have a thing for transformation and/or shapeshifting so his basic "essence" usually boils down to:
lizardy,
green,
black stripes from the neck-down,
pointy mammal-ish ears.
I enjoy seeing other people's take on him in their own style, especially since I haven't quite nailed down what my style for him really is.

Most of the time I tend to simplify him down to that pointy-eared lizardy thing on the right there.

Factz:

• I tend to alternate between thin-and-sketchy and thick-swooshy-cartoony line styles
• I gravitate towards using openCanvas a lot, solely because that shit can network with people over the internetz
• I like transformations and related stuff. Strange is interesting to me.
• Urgh I shouldn't have tried to practice a new "style". Back legs = atrocious. (Not that my regular attempts at anatomy are all that brilliant.)
• I am batshit crazy paranoid that anything I upload to the internet will be judged the wrong way by people I know. This conflicts with my desire to share my scribbles with like-minded people. Most of the time lazyness tips the scales.
• I like drawings of adult nature, but (see above) I'd hate to get typecast as "that weird fetish guy"

Factoids:

• I invented some crazy thing with his eyes. Transparent orange ambery things. This usually never comes up because I usually just draw black lines/dots.
• The spikes start at the neck and get smaller going down. They're stone and break off like nails when they get long. I vaguely remember adding them because I figured basilisks must get a lot of stone in their diet if they turn people into the stuff... usually I never draw 'em
• The ears are from a random hey-you-got-turned-into-something that stuck around, hence the non-lizardyness about them...
• My cartoony style came from drawing tons of half-minute scribbles on MSN/WLM using that niche "handwriting" mode.
