Daffodil finds herself in front of an abandoned, crumbling structure overtaken by vines and plant growth. It stands precariously - walls slanted, weeds and grasses working their way between the cracked brickwork. With the name of the establishment long worn away or hidden by foliage, two ferocious bronze lion heads upon either side of an archway are the only remaining marker of the menagerie this place once was. A mysterious figure, stark and imposing against the light of the entrance, beckons her.

“There are treasures remaining here still, if it interests you,” says Wanderer X.

Part one of the Natura Humana quest in ThoseWhoWentMissing. I've never participated in a story quest before, so this will be quite an adventure for both Daffodil and myself. This story requires a minimum of 4 illustrations, and I think I'll go a bit simpler on my next three because this took me WAY too long!
The Natura Humana Quest explores an abandoned structure of your choosing in the Developed (human) Biome. I felt like an old menagerie would be a particularly interesting place for an esk to explore, being a setting that merges human and nature quite literally. Daffodil herself is an esk born of the developed biome, specifically from the Victorian era, and would have been around just in time to see menageries begin to shift toward the more scientific and educational model of today's modern zoos. Though she is quite a simple esk and doesn't care much for the history of such things, she is certainly drawn easily to adventure, discovery, and treasure.
