I think........if you go by the old games and the first "Sonic Adventure" game, Knuckles always comes off as sad or introverted-thoughtful. When I started my gijinka fan-fics and paired him with Shadow...I drew him more happy and stuff. But sometimes I'll still draw Knuckles looking very serious and thoughtful.
