Chibi X from my sketchbook-that-works-great-with-markers!

We're demoing a different set of markers on this page than what I've used before--for any traditional media artists curious about it!

This set of markers are Hobby Lobby's home-brand, The Fine Touch. Sold in packs of 12 and 36 (that I've seen), the set of 36 retails at $49.99--which is a better deal than you'll find for Prismacolors or Copics. Do they stand up as a good art marker? I'd rate these as "average". Nice range of RED, BLUE and GREY in their 36-color set...other colors are kinda...ODD. EXCELLENT AREA COVERAGE...like Michael's home-brand, these markers go great over wide-areas with little-to-no-streaking. Heavy bleed factor...use only with thick paper...but instead of a strong alcohol smell, they have a slightly-cherry-kind-of-smell. I can't explain that one! lol Blending: NO. These markers do not blend very well at all. The color you lay on top of the other will "eat" away at the other color.

So, if you want to have some markers to use for good background coloring...I'd recommend these (as opposed to wasting your expensive markers over large coloring areas), or if you want a large range of grey markers without investing in a specialized set--this is a nice purchase to supplement your supplies with if you have the money to do so.

Rockman/Mega Man X belongs to Capcom!

Like the Michael's home-brand...great for area coverage, but not for blending! lol
