More art from my new sketchbook--yeah, the one that says "great with markers", but eats them all up. lol
I have used markers here, but I've used a brand I don't often get use out of--the Artist's Loft (Michael's home-brand) brand of markers. These aren't horrible markers and I more often use them to color backgrounds than anything else. Their colors are a bit wonky and not the color of the barrel whatsoever, they have a very noxious alcohol smell to them and they bleed through paper like crazy...but they are great for covering large surfaces without a lot of streaking. Even these markers didn't bleed through this sketchbook paper...so it's a great sketchbook, even if it eats markers. chuckle
Crying Wabi...from around the same time I did the digital picture...but finally colored and stuff.
Wabi/Despair Dog species belongs to me.
Don't have much experience with markers but this looks awesome! c: The brown color looks really smooth actually, I can't see any streaking at all :o
That's the really good part about the Artist's Loft brand markers...they lay down amazingly smooth, regardless the size of the area you're coloring! Their bleed factor is extremely high, though...so definitely use really thick paper with them!
I wish they had more variety of colors...their quality and price are really reasonable and and beginning artist with markers should really invest in a set, but there's not more than 20 colors in all that I've seen. I'd say anyone with an interest in markers should try them out!
And thank you! grin
