Here is a side-by-side comparison of the two different watercolor version pics--the left is watercolor pencils and the right is straight watercolors.

I know, right??? I like how smooth and nicely shaded the watercolor one is—but it’s so light in color when compared to the watercolor pencils. I also like using the metallic watercolors for the effect work (on the helmet), it looks better as an effect with the shading, over just a laid over glaze with gel pens.
But it’s nice not to have to mix colors—because you know what you’re getting with colored pencils., so the one on the left was “easier” to color. Both have their charms, though! :)

Oooh, that's a tough one to decide which is better: The left colors look more bold and pop out, but the one one the right is very nice and smooth :0
