pouring acrylics #4 by keirajo

pouring acrylics #4

Why is this in my Transformers folder, you may ask? Because I did this particular pouring acrylics piece with the sparklings (of Galvatron and Rodimus Prime's) in mind--purple represents Novablaze, red represents Stormbreaker and the blue represents Ion Stream from my fan-fics.

I tried pouring this on really thick cardboard, instead of Yupo paper. This stuff really warped the cardboard pretty good.........or bad.............so, I think this stuff really works best on canvas or a super-smooth/thick surfaces. But it's not a horrible attempt at a new poured piece. :)

I still love this even if the cardboard used didn’t end up being as reliable as hoped in the end<333 I’ve actually been following an account on instagram of someone doing these and they’re honestly just so cool with the kind of patterns and effects you can get!

I also love the colors represent Transformers characters as well - actually the way they collide works really nice! :)

Whatever you're using definitely has an effect of what it turns out like. I just did one the other day on canvas (small) and it gives a whole different texture, plus the paint also seemed to soak in a little more and the colors did not look as vivid as I feel they should've been. Textures to the paper make it look a whole lot different than something smooth--so it's best to test and to learn from doing things on different surfaces when working with pouring acrylics. I think a lot of people who do this more often use glass and ceramic surfaces, which give a really shiny look to it! :)

Awww............and thanks so much! (I still need to upload some of the recent stuff to Toyhou.se! XD)
