Today we have Vivillon--and this is the "standard" version of it that you generally see in PokeDex illustrations and the anime/manga. I remember back in the days of X/Y, I did tons of trades and was actually excited to get a version of Vivillon that I didn't have. This was a Pokemon whose evolution was based on your region of the world. GameFreak also did some odd special versions (such as the PokeBall version) that were given away as well.

As would be expected if you look at it--this is a BUG- and FLYING-Type Pokemon. Here's some flavor text for you: "The colorful patterns on Vivillon's wings are determined by the Pokemon's habitat/ Vivillon from different parts of the world have different wing patterns."
