laundromat art: midori sketch by keirajo

laundromat art: midori sketch

keirajo

Meh, I don't know when I will have the scanner working. So, pictures drawn, colored and photographed at the laundromat this week. I got some super-duper cheap markers........they are literally called "Alcohol Markers", I kid you not. And I think maybe a little too much alcohol for mere cardstock paper. XD

Midori the Spaniel, my adopt from my friend Timot-Ei. :)

Does anyone ever bother you while you're drawing there? xD

No, I usually sit at the back, by the dryers. Everyone else usually gathers near the front by the t.v.’s! XD

I'm surprised you dont get harassed by kids or something...xD

Oh no! They’re too busy playing bumper cars with the laundry carts! XD

I think it looks nice! Your lining style really compensates for the inconsistencies of the markers.

      Thanks so much! :D

I was a bit worried the alcohol content of the markers would melt the lines once I saw how it was spreading! XD

SO pretty! I love the pink/orange/yellow going on in the tail and paws, that combo always makes me so happy.

And love your use of lines as the background!

I really think my friend designed a beautiful character and I’m glad she gave her to me! I love the pastel shades (though I don’t have many pastel markers.....).

Blank space must be used, even if it’s just random lines! XD Thanks so much! :D

Yeah, she's a beautiful character :) Oh yeah, pastel markers can be hard to acquire... I'm drawn to bright colors so I forget to stock up on the necessary light tones, and it can often be hard to find just the right shade you need.

        You're welcome! :D

A lot of markers that look more pastel from the cap, they tend to darken when they dry, too! So you start out thinking it’s the perfect color until a couple days later when the picture looks darker than you thought! XD

That's true XD This is why I prefer digital art haha! Traditional can be so tricky in so many ways. It's rewarding when you get it right, though!

              Very true! :D
