My partner is a huge fan of Slender Man so I drew them a picture. Since I thought it would look good with my cross hatching style.
Thanks so much, I had to Google Ed Gory though. I feel so bad because every-time people have commented on my work they have mentioned people I don't know. I guess it is cool to discover new people. Since I do think that Ed Gory's style is pretty cool actually.
I love cross hatching though, and it is far more versatile then you might think. Thanks so much for commenting though! :D
I've seen how versatile hatching can be. I'm reminded of this guy: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/15404930/ who makes use of a number of patterns to create value and texture. I have trouble making that sort of thing work myself, though, so I admire people like you who can.
His work looks a little more complex than mine. Since I feel my cross hatching is on the basic side. However thanks so much.
I admired people who did Biro and hatching work for years. I really looked up to people who could do it. I wanted to learn how to do it, and well. I couldn't really find advise or help. So I just went for it after I cracked my sternum and couldn't lean over my light board to ink, but didn't want loads of just sketches when I recovered.
It seemed to kind of work so even when I recovered I still carried on with it. So in a way you just have to kind of go for it it. Yeah you might wreck a few pieces a long the way. However honestly just go for it.

Yes, it does look good with that cross-hatch style. It's got a kind of Ed Gory feel about it.
