I should note that this entire song was one single take. The vocals were the only thing that weren't recorded with the other instruments. What amazing musicians to work with.

This is the second version of this song that I mixed. I did some better mixing on this darn thing with some help from my professor. The little bass slide thing in the measures in between the verses and choruses is now actually cool-sounding like it was originally supposed to! On top of that, the guitars are all a little clearer now, mixed with speakers instead of with headphones! One thing I gotta work on definitely is mixing in terms of a song and not just in terms of individual instruments, especially on songs that aren't my own. Enjoy even more now, hopefully!

My final project for my Recording II class. I think it's one of the best mixes in the class. Another guy did an awful mix of this that sounded really muddy with too much reverb. Surprisingly, I was one of the few people with a recording that had a kick drum with any real presence. I think I did a great job mixing the drums, actually, considering none of us are exactly paid to do this kind of thing. Overall, though, I think this is great, and Sean was fantastic to work with. Cute indie boy. Too bad he's straight. *cough*
Enjoy the complexity.
Will be including the HQ 320kbps SoundCloud download soon. MAYBE. Got any questions about what I did here, whether with recording or mixing? Feel free to ask! I've been getting better. :3
