This really shows the importance of maintaining your fursuit. On the left, an unbrushed paw. I don't know how long it's been since it was brushed. You can see the fur has become clumped, almost matted. On the right, the other paw has been brushed out and it looks so much better!

At this advanced stage of scruffiness, you could make the fur look even better by hitting it with a hair dryer and brushing repeatedly. The fur fibres need to be re-aligned and straightened out. But as you can see, even normal brushing is way better than nothing!
