A commission for J.fox
J.Fox is a young freedom fighter of sorts (not in an actual military).
Here, J is catching a bit of sleep in a war zone, dreaming of a happier life, one with the girl he loves.
One of the things I really enjoyed doing in this piece, was creating different moods through the use of color saturation or lack thereof.
Since I know the gun enthusiasts will want to know, that is an M14 rifle with scope. ^.^
This piece was done with acrylic paints on 9"x12" illustration board.

I think this is a great piece. I believe it eloquently captures the loneliness and loss of war. This is something I can attest to personally. Fighting for your country becomes a very abstract thing when missing your family and your friends are dying next to you on a regular basis.
