Hello there! My name is Joshiah. I'm a writer of all things, from stories and lyrics to poetry and science fiction. I also dabble in music, but don't expect to see any of that here. I'm a complete sucker for scotch, motorcycles, and my lovely girlfriend, Rose Doherty.

I'm open for commissions pretty often, so be sure to check back here occasionally if you're interested in one. I can write just about anything you like, and I'll post a journal entry shortly with my list of prices, commission types and limits.

Over the next month, I'll start mirroring my galleries from FurAffinity and Inkbunny, and once I'm all caught up, I'll start posting new content here, as well. I'll upload about five or so stories a day until I'm all caught up, so you guys will have plenty to read shortly!

For the last few months, I've been busting my hump on my back porch to try and get back into shape, busting my paws on the keyboard trying to get work done, and busting my back at work trying to make ends meet.

It likely isn't very surprising that I'm having trouble keeping pace.

I finally got sick again this last weekend, and it cost me some OT work and the majority of my weekend for fun. I had to take a day off of work today, which gave me a chance to finish a freebie and do a little thinking, even if my head isn't exactly thinking perfectly clearly yet.

I'm closing commissions down until the end of September. Unless things change, they'll remain closed until at least the end of the year, and I'm cancelling the Iron Author I opened, as I haven't sold a single slot for it, and it was supposed to start last month.

For the rest of the month, I'll be focused on personal work. I have a couple submissions to finish before the end of September, because that's when Sofawolf Press stops taking submissions for the year for a couple publications, and I want to get into at least one of them. I have a novel I've been working on that I'd like to submit to them, as well, but that one doesn't have a time limit. Due to the nature of a lot of the stuff I'm working on, it won't be posted on FA, IB, Weasyl, or anywhere else, until it is potentially rejected.

Don't worry, I'm not just going away, but I definitely could use the mental break. Writing is my most passionate hobby, and it is something I'll do until my brain can't function any longer, but my mind is a divided house. I want to write for the love of it, coming from my creative side, but my business brain knows that I need to turn profits if I'm ever going to go full professional, or even just supplement my income with my writing. To this end, I know my writing is quality work, but when I can't even get one commission a month and there are people out there putting out material that's half the quality at five times the price and they have a full backlog of orders waiting to be filled, I need to just stop and take a step back and away from the situation, because it kills my confidence, puts me in a bad mood, and ruins my day. Honestly, it makes my head hurt sometimes.

I won't have much to say in journals for a while, unless it's pertaining to an upcoming convention or a survey for my followers, but those don't tend to get much attention anyway, so unless it's pretty important, I won't be posting much at all, at least until the end of the month, and possibly longer.

Thank you, all of you, watchers, friends, family and strangers alike, who have supported me over the past few years and kept me going. You guys are so often the driving force behind my work, and I hope I can get my head back on straight soon and get where I need to be mentally to create for myself again, and eventually, for others.

All stories 10,000-20,000 words will be due 15 days from the payment date.

All stories 20,000-30,000 words will be due 20 days from the payment date.

All stories 30,000-40,000 words will be due 25 days from the payment date.

All stories 40,000-50,000 words will be due one month from the payment date.

All stories, novels and novellas 50,000 words or more will have a negotiated due date based on the overall length and complexity of the story.
