Commentary:
A large squid! I just had to squeeze this part into the chapter once I came up with the idea. Don't ask how they caught it, hopefully I didn't make it too rediculously huge. In the end, I don't regret making this page since it has the potential to introduce a real-life cooking ingredient that some people aren't aware about.
While I'm sure other regions probably did this too, I first heard about it being done often in Japan, which was the inspiration for Lopu's home region, Rokamina. So I figured it would make sense if he was familiar with squid ink being used in food. I haven't tried it myself yet but I've heard that it's salty, so hopefully Lopu's description isn't that inaccurate.
