Lasting affects

Only one

Holds the cure

But they are

Unseeing

Unknowing

Uncaring

As the bug

Lays its claim

The heart stings

Then burns

The body

Aches and trembles

As the claim

Become permanent

The suffering

Becomes too much

And soon enough

The breaking point

Is reached

Matters of the heart

Lets the infection

Become too great

Which soon leads

To the welcoming

Of death.
