Even if they're in her crew.

Only person that's met her and escaped is the guy in the picture here, the possum guy who lost the end of his tail in said close encounter. So of course he's going to go around bragging about the nightmare of fighting his way free from the "salivatin', bone-crushin' jaws of hell" and all that to anybody that asks and some who don't. Marianne's got enough of a reputation, it's not like her being 50 feet tall and drooling enough to fill lakes isn't unbelievable. Even if she isn't.
