Warmth On A Cool Winter Day

This piece holds a lot of personal significance to me. My semester started off rough. Really rough. I needed to get out of the suite, away from the people I'm roomed with. Ferin was as supportive as always, made a mediocre night wonderful...it's a special talent of his, it seems. As he turned in, I made my way down to the library's sunken courtyard, a quiet and secluded place not many students venture. It's well-lit, and I often go there to get reading done. Thinking of Ferin, I produced a traditionally rendered graphite piece of the two of us snuggling, just what I wish could be in real life.
As the months passed, this remained my best sketch; finally, over Thanksgiving break (thanks to no homework from generous professors), I got the sketch inked and rendered out digitally; this is the result of that work. I put my all into this, wanted it to be the best thing I produce this year...and honestly, I think I succeeded there. No less for my Ferin.
