Sometimes your friends ask whether or not you’re ignoring your species nature by not doing The Usual Thing of taking up a silver sword and joyriding through the Astral on dragonback. Sometimes you’ve talked about this so often it’s easier to accuse them of being glorified heating elements than to actually argue the point.

In this case we have Piter the Firebird (fire genasi, left) and Tugarin (githyanki, right) engaged in yet another argument of the sort you see from people who regularly kvetch at each other but wouldn’t miss each other’s parties for the world. Both are wizards who studied at the same collegium, and both are independently wealthy, so of course they’re going to be frienemies. Not pictured: their goliath bodyguards, because there’s plenty of things that start with G in this picture already.

While they’re technically speaking something very much like Russian, I always figured Piter sounds like the kind of guy who has three yachts, each with its own suite of matching boat shoes. I think his drinking goblet may be attached to his hand.

While technically a glorified sketch, I still like how this turned out. Kirby dots are fun!
