Raven Guard Predator Annihilator by Iridium

Raven Guard Predator Annihilator

Iridium

I have no idea if this sort of thing is permitted on Weasyl, but until I'm told no I'll proceed as if it is.

It's been a while since I last completed a model (and technically, this one isn't complete until there's a nice day and I can give it a dullcote. Blizzards are not nice days), but finally! This Raven Guard Predator Annihilator has been sitting on my work bench 85%-90% complete for months. This past weekend I finally sat down and finished all the detail bits that needed finishing. The Roman numeral 5 on the front means 5th company, the 3 everywhere means the 3rd Predator (the other predator has a 4, I'm clearly optimistic about how many I will have). I used the extra armor kit from Forgeworld, but it didn't fit quite right on the left side, and it did need some help being bent into the right shape. Not to mention the turret armor fits better 1 or 2 mm down from where it should.... Anyway, the extra resin gives the model some definite heft, I like the extra weight. I also modeled a Hunter-Killer missile, just because.

Warhammer 40k and all the rest is (c) Games Workshop.

Dude! Nice work! The dry brush technique you used on the overall surface of the metal really made her pop!

Thanks! Drybrushing is definitely fast, I may try line-highlighting on my next tank if I'm feeling insane.

I really like the red/yellow colouration on the lascannon packs at the rear of the turret. It's a nice balance to the gold gun muzzles, and not something I've seen done before. It really pops on a black tank without looking unnecessary. :)

Thank you! SInce I figure they're batteries/power packs, it'd be a good way to give the vehicle some color instead of more metals or blacks. I'm pleased with the effect, glad you like it. :)

I could see this driving down my street! It looks more real than my car does. n.n You're getting /really/ good at this.

Your street might not handle a tank driving down it. :) Thank you, bunbun!
