I've been playing my Orks a lot this winter, got involved in a campaign with a local league. So this past weekend I broke out my Raven Guard and played, the first time in a while, at the local GW store. It was nice to use them again, and it gave me the motivation to finish this guy. This will be the Master of Shadows, the Chapter Master of the Raven Guard, built as I figure he would be, not as the powergamers would (he's not on a bike, first of all). The shield will either be the Shield Eternal or a Storm Shield while the chainsword will either be the Teeth of Terra or a Relic Blade. Yes, he has a jump pack. He's Raven Guard after all! I very much want to use him with both the Shield Eternal and the Teeth of Terra, but that will depend on how others interpret the codex ruling on relics (even though the official GW electronic codex allows independent characters to take two relics, three of one of them is the special armor). Now to finish either a group of allied tactical marines or some sniper scouts.....
BTW, he's built mostly with Shadow Captain Korvydae's model from Forge World (legs, torso, jump pack), a chainsword from the new Vanguard Vets kit, the shield from the special boarding marine that Forge World did, a head and pauldron from the Raven Guard upgrade kit, and a pauldron with terminatus honors from the space marine commander kit.
