Malduran grew up among the United Tribes of Athas Glas and considers the great woods his home. He had some skill in druid craft due to his heritage but he didn't begin his training in earnest until he had a run in with the Hivekeeper herself. He was in the forest gathering food for his tribe when he ran into a large grizzly who had been caught in a trap set by Feictear raiders. He would use his skills to free her, only for her to shift back into her true form, a very grateful Bearkin who would scoop him into a bear hug. It was after this she would take him as her apprentice and teach him the ways of the druid. He now happily serves under her, acting as a assistant, messenger, and occasionally cuddle buddy. He recently mastered the ability to wild shape himself, unsurprisingly his favorite form being that of a bear...
