Mutation Trial: ANTHRO-PH-48

A rather unique specimen we have here today. Part of the prehistoric series, Latouchella costata is today's mutation of choice. Due to the events that transpired on the island, we have had to move our experiments to a more secure location for the time being. However we still have many more mutations to test before our resurrection project can be completed, so we will have to make due without the scenic local.

This mutation was rather tricky to create due to the lack of DNA available; more so then the others. We had very little to work with, so a lot of DNA was recreated from scratch and imported from other species. But in the end we were able to create a good enough replica of the specimen to finish the mutation for use.

Due to the DNA used, there might be a chance that the subject now has the potential to be both male and female, as the way of the snail is. However we aren't too sure if this is the case, as even though DNA from mollusk was used, we aren't quite sure how it ended up effecting the over all mutation and the extra DNA added. Sometimes even we at synthex don't always have the answers.

We will continue to study the subject as she adapts to her new life to get a better understanding of the origin species and how it lived in life. But in the mean time, we have much work to be doing if we are going to complete the rest of project resurrection...
