And this is Opal, the pigmy gryphon! I had the idea of making a gryphon like this one for a while, and as she was coming together, I was getting this feeling of "y'know, I think I'm going to keep this one..." and as soon as she was done, I was certain I wanted to keep her ;)
Opal will be coming to conventions with me, where she'll be alongside Clax, to show people how cute pigmy gryphons can be!
Her mutations include: cat eyes, belly, dual-coloured wings, and phoenix tail.
Thanks =D nods I just couldn't resist keeping this little girl in particular, she turned out so cute :) And she's helped me show people just how small, but cute!, pigmy gryphons can be, by being on my table and luring people over to the gryphon nest ;)
The only furry con I'm going to this year now, is Furpocalypse, so if you'll be there, you can see Opal and Clax, my two sample gryphons that guards the gryphon nest ;)
They can be a lot of fun to crochet up; sometimes I have some ideas of what I want to do, other times, I rely on a dice system that my husband helped me to create, so I can come up with random looks and appearances for my gryphons...and double-checking to make sure I haven't made those combos before XD
