Summer in Robertson by Hendikins

Summer in Robertson

Hendikins

Yes, that title is correct. Doing a bit of a road trip from Brisbane to Canberra with somepup somepup, and taking the scenic route. We were passing through Robertson at around 7PM local time, and decided to take some happy snaps of the station.

The Unanderra to Moss Vale railway line is an important link between the Main Southern Railway and Illawarra line, providing access to Port Kembla without having to go through Sydney. Regular passenger services commenced on the line in 1932, however most services were withdrawn in 1985 and the remainder in the early 1990s. Regularly scheduled service is now provided by coaches between Wollongong and Moss Vale.

The station does receive semi-regular heritage service - 3801 Limited's Cockatoo Run operates from Sydney to Moss Vale via Robertson on selected Sundays and Thursdays.

Oh woah, I wasn't expecting that to be summer weather! That fog made it look like it was a lot cooler there.
