I've been working on a painting of James for the past two weeks but before I share the final result, I thought I'd show the progression of the drawing. Step 1 was a rough sketch I did while at a friend's house off the top of my head with no photo ref, so the drawing was loose and unrefined. Step 2, I took a photo ref at home and I redid the drawing to be more anatomically correct, and fix how James holds the controller and crosses his feetpaws. Step 3 was inking the drawing. I had to redraw some of the lines after the paint was applied, but I'm glad I made sure to scan how the linework looked before the paint was applied.
