Behold Elana Takara...kick ass tigress swordswoman and isolated heroine. Behind her...vanquished enemies and those foolish enough to oppose her.

Milla Jovovich is, and always will be, a great inspiration both as a model and an actress for creative reference. I was also shown the art of Tim Bradstreet to give an idea at the tone and grit. Some other movies that sprang to mind aside from "The Messenger" of course, was "Brotherhood of the Wolf". Ironically I didn't see 300 until after this was completed.

This has been the most graphic picture I have ever drawn in terms of violence, which was difficult for me at times to get through. I used old photographs of the Civil War as reference for the bodies.

My soundtrack for this was epic music...lots of epic music, but also "Inner Universe" by Origa from "The Stand Alone Complex" soundtrack.
