Grizzly paws for my fursuit~ all 100% made by me.
So, I had already made my paws before, quite some time ago. But they were too big, which made them more like floppy mitts and had a bunch of other tiny imperfections. So I decided one day to rip them up and do it again.
This is my second attempt finished. They're a lot more tight and a lovely snug fit, making the shape better. They're lined and trimmed on the cuff too, and they have much better finger and claw control when I wear them. Plus the smaller size shows off those 3 inch dark copper claws better!
But they are still not perfect; the pads do not have a cloth backing and I had to sew into a thick rubber lip around the edge of them (I sure like to make things hard for myself- I had to adjust my pattern to fit the rubber inside the glove too), and because of this I'm not trimming the fur as it would show some of the lip/stitching if I did.
The heavy, bulky paw pads do help to give that beefy bear feel though~ so it was'nt such a bad mistake in the end~
Over all, I don't think I need that third try. They are for my own personal suit after all, and I think if I make more paws, I'll know how to get them perfect next time.
