In Mario and Sonic at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, most of the characters wear outfits that fit with what event is happening. The Track outfit's used in the majority of events, and it's light clothing mostly used for exercising in the summer. Gymnastics has the same one, but the human characters don't wear shoes or socks. Surfing has the characters wearing a wet suit, fencing has a white uniform for the sport, swimming has a swimsuit, equestrian has a jockey uniform, and karate has a karate uniform. The Dream Events however use your character's everyday look just like the other characters do.
