I made the Gen one a year ago as a tattoo idea. Which i'm presumably getting this week? Anyhow, now I've designed a matching Aka to get later as well. Apparently the right paw up indicates good fortune and welcomes you to a shop- while the left paw up is used at bars and strip clubs :I

I had read a while back that the right paw up is to offer good fortune and beckon people into shops and restaurants, while left paw up is used to beckon people into nightlife places like bars, and strip clubs >_> (which fits Aka, but I'll have to think a while on whether I want that one tattooed...)

Ha ha ha, awesome. I had heard (but I forget where) that one paw welcomes money while the other welcomes good luck or fortune or something less tangible. I like yours better.
