Well, here's the antagonist of Daren Crevan before the first chronicle story I've written, Fur Trade. Don't be fooled by how he looks or acts here. He's a very powerful enemy of Daren, who fought him for a day and, while Daren won, was left bedridden for a week, even with Zelda healing him with everything she got.
Anyways, enjoy.

Now THAT is an evil villian smirk. Also, compared to Daren, he appears to have some meat on his bones. Or at least some "fluff" around the gut. I know he's disembowel me if I tried, but after looking at Daren's skinny ribs I want to nuzzle that gut.
For some reason something always clicked with me and the Nex Mutatio as villains. Aside from some huge moral differences, they appear very similar to the Athru... so much so that I often wondered if two cultures where actually the same species underneath. I could easily imagine it. Particularly with the Nex Mutatio using their personality changing devices to implant their entire minds onto younger generations, resulting caste based system built around an immortal nobility... I actually had a fan fiction built around such a story. Of course I have tons of story ideas that never go anywhere.
