Part 3: Over there

Harry stood flustered and embarrassed in front of the camera. He looked ridiculous, but didn't protest in the hopes that Mr. Kala would be more lenient on him later. he wanted so badly to run away; but he knew he wouldn't get far, considering that his newly modified suit had no ankle joints, just a solid, off-balancing piece for the whole lower leg.

Now, you're probably wondering what the hell is going on here, so allow me to explain:

The AIRB is an expensive business. In fact, research in general can be a very expensive venture. Since they struggle to hold onto a stable source of funding for long (legal ones, at least); they cannot afford to be picky; considering that the moment they run out of funding, the Dean of the Department will have the authority to (much to his eternal delight) be able to disband the AIRB and replace it with something else (most likely some kind of Gender Studies department *shudder*).

So, when some eccentric multi-millionaire walks into the building, offers to wire a lump sum no questions asked in return for being able to "take that cute little robot away for a while"; you've got to take one for the team.

As it turns out, this man, Mr. Kala, is an insanely devoted patriot of the United States of America. He also likes to play dress up. With other people.

He set down some ground rules, and explained that Harry will be free to go if one of 2 things happen: He grows bored of him (which is very unlikely at this point, considering how much he enjoys watching Harry struggle); or Harry manages to escape.

Escaping was, of course; one of the first things that Harry tried. Needles to say, he didn't get very far.

Since I like both birds, robots AND stereotyped American culture, I had a stupid amount of fun making this. But in the process I think I listened to so much patriotic American music (to get into the mindset) that I accidentally became a Republican.

Now lets see how long it takes for american_furs or some similar group to fave this...
