This is an actual painting, a large one at that, something like 11x17 inches done with a gouache on .. I dunno, thin wood? Kinda smelled like wood (and boy can I smell wood HIYOOOO). With it he included a note about not displaying it in a bathroom or near a sunlit window, and not to feed it after midnight or else your acting career will circle the drain. Standard stuff.

Interestingly the phrase "no boom today, boom right now" is taken by several people to be a play on the line "No boom today. Boom tomorrow....there's always a boom tomorrow." from Battlestar Galactica and I've had several people comment to me about it. However, it actually was just something made up on the spot by Jim Groat when he did the original badge in 2001, and the new BG television series didn't start until 2004, so it couldn't have been a play on that (unless that line was a repeat of the 1978 version). I don't know what he was referencing, actually (he asked me if I got the reference at the time and I just went "ohhhh, hehe, mm yea totally" so I wouldn't lose any of my nerd credibility.) I wish I knew what it was a reference to. Actually the pose was a play on the teeshirt I was wearing (which there are ZERO pictures of on google). So there.
