Combat practice outside of one's own squad is a little rare when it comes to those who can wield the arcane and the elements. Especially during times in which the country is in termoil most able-bodied mages have their services requested to the line of duty or are placed under increased demand to upkeep the needs of the people, be it in public service or in the private economy.

In such an environment, Iraya was more than ecstatic to find herself able to request a short duel from a magically inclined dragon amongst a friendly nation's emmisary envoy. In order to minimize or negate damage done, the two set up a runic circle with the intent of reversing the effects of their fight. Once the arena was established, only a brief time to prepare preceded the spellflinging back and forth!
