Hello all and Welcome to the first of this Seasons Games of the Weeks! This season we will have a collection of 10 matchups sprinkled over the second half of the season, and we begin with one of the marquee matchups of the Eastern Conference, the Hamilton Wanderers Vs. The Thunder Bay Puffins.

For the Wanderer's it has been another strong year, as they lead the East with their net protected by Beau Regards and his three shutouts. For the Puffins it has been a challenge at times. The loss of Pehltonen in net has taken some getting used to, but Thunder Bay still finds itself solidly in the playoff hunt with help from veterans Donald Fitzpatrick and Paul Shepherd helping to keep them there, as they find themselves in second in the division and in 4th in the conference. With that in mind, will the Wanderers be able to come to town and expand their lead, or will the Puffins turn the tables at home and close on higher in the conference? Tune in to find out!

For this rivalry game, it became a night of showcase for Puffins Forward Donald Fitzpatrick and Cash Rottie. Starting off early in the first, Fitzpatrick lit the lamp first with help from Rottie and Oberheizer, and the Puffins held the lead going into the second. Hamilton would respond with a goal by Wanderers Defensive All-Star Marc-Andre Bisasallion, but as soon as the Puffins hit the third period and got the home crowd going that was it, as goals by Wingdog and Fitzpatrick, both assisted by Cash Rottie(with help from Kova Lewdko on the first, and Quaragan on the second) closed the door, and lead Thunder Bay to a 3-1 win.
