The Weekend was kicked off with a barn-burner of a rookie game, as the Oak Rookies got out to the 2-0 lead in the first, with help from a strong effort from Seattle Gaurdians Goalie Whiteleaf, who held off a bucket full of shots during a powerplay. In the second, the Oak Rookies would pour in on, scoring 4 goals, and closing out the game with a 7-2 win.
Before the All-Star game, the teams participated in a Super Skills Competition, testing players strength in Skating Speed, Rapid Save Strength, and Shot Power among other things. In the end of the competition, the Oak All-Stars barely edged the Maple All-Stars 18-16
The All-Star game was a showing of strength of Goalies and Defence, as teams deftly keep the pucks away from the others goals, as the first period ended with the score nil-nil. In the second Bakersfield Buckaroo's Luna Stargazer beat out Hamilton Wanderer's Beau Regards to put the Oak All-Stars up 1 to nothing, and that was all they would need as they took the All-Star Game home two to none.
