Puffins surge in the second and don't look back.

Out of the gate, Thunder Bay was rolling, as with 5 minutes past in the first, Matt first one past Johnathan Sparks, and the Puffins would begin to build their lead. That lead would be extended by Wingdog, and the Puffins would go into the second up 2-0

The second would begin quietly, until the 9 minute mark, as a quick pass by Wingdog would lead to a hard shot by Matt and his second goal of the night, putting the Puffins up 3. Salt Lake City however would respond of the stick of Skyler Ward, and would close it to within 2, but that is as tight as they would get it, and 2 goals by Rodney and York would set the Puffins up 5-1 at the end of the second.

In the third, a Shorthanded goal by Masakuni Sakurai would allow the Bees to close within 1, but that would be all they could do, as the Puffins would go onto win 5-2. With the win and Hamilton's loss to Houston on Monday, Thunder Bay closes in on 2 points of the Great Lakes Division lead.
