This year saw the return of the Rookie Game for All Star Weekend, and fans were treated it an exciting and unpredictable game!

The first period was largely a fast paced and high fire game, as both teams decided to play aggresively and push the puck. Team Southerpacks in the end would in the end would get more benefit out or it, as goals by Ruff Bustler and Eli Husky would lead to them leading at the end of the period 2-0.

As the Second opened, Team Southerpacks decided to rotate the lines and keep up the aggressiveness. Unfortunently that backfired as Team Ull pounced on Southerpacks' second line and through 2 goals by Clyde Ull and a Goal by Bailey McTavish, had turned the tables and ended the second up 3-2.

Entering the third, Team Ull turned to a defensive style and tried to close it out. Unfortunently, a Elbowing Minor by Billie Rose, and some roughstuff after the penalties whistle by Summer Grass lead to Team Ull finding two players in the box, facing a 5v3. It is within that 5v3 that Team Southerpacks cashed in as Talton would score and tie the game back up at 3. Both teams had chances from there in the period, but neither side was able to cash in, and with the horn, the teams entered overtime!

In the overtime, the teams would push back and fourth and the play would be quick and nimble. At the 4th minute Marcus Trods would go to the box for Roughing and lead to the dreaded Overtime Powerplay, but his team was able to kill it off and play continued. At the 14th minute, the tie was finally broken as Pauwer was able to get a puck past DL Leonine and win the game in Team Southerpacks favor!
