I've been trying to get in the habit of doing studies on problem areas, but so far it hasn't been going very well. Today I finally kicked myself into doing some, so here's some studies on the sides and backs of the heads of common species - canines (wolves and a maned wolf), felines (house cats), and rodents (a rat and an I-don't-know-what, possibly a dormouse). Specifically paying attention to the cheek area. I'm not sure if I learned much but it was good drawing-from-photos practice anyway. Just used random google image photos for reference.
