Day 19 using :linkThornwolf:'s Inktober prompts! Today is a mermaid. Here's another one that was inspired by a Xanth cover, specifically the cover for Heaven Cent. This was my first introduction to the idea of mermaids with long, serpentine tails, which remain my favorite type of mermaid to this day. I'm also thinking of the work of Stephanie Pui-Mon Law, one of my favorite artists (who did a fantastic art learning book, Dreamscapes ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005C5TKZO/ref=dp-kindle-redirect?_encoding=UTF8&btkr=1 ), which I own and refer to frequently). So, here's a mermaid with a long tail, looking askance at you.
