I got a color scheme suggestion from cstalli so this is the species I came up with. Anyway I finally got my bum in gear and actually drew the first of probably like 80 non sapient aliens in Entirety. Also behold a simple streamline sheet design. I figured I didn’t really need textwalls like the actual races so I made the sheet only include the name of the species.

ANYWAY ONTO WHAT IT IS!

Paloopei are a small bird like quadruped which resides on Tempae. They are one of only a handful of species domesticated by the Ginaga and are used mostly for their egg laying abilities but their feathers, bones, some bodily fluids (we’ll get to that) and excrement are used for other purposes as well. They’re basically chickens minus being eaten since Ginaga don’t eat meat. Sometimes they’re also kept as pets or used in experiments.

Despite appearances Paloopei behave in a manner much more similar to earth domestic cats than chickens. They’re very independent and somewhat curious and can be taught very basic skill like how to poop in a box.

Despite what you would assume given the bright coloration males and females actually look basically the same with males on average having a slightly larger crest. The colors are actually indicative that they’re a venomous creature. Their mouth produces a toxic saliva which they spread onto their plumage. Its deadly for most species but Ginaga are mostly immune but can get very high off it if they aren’t careful. Basically the venom can be used in a similar way to laughing gas so its also farmed.

They are considered Ze’Shoja (the home of the Ginaga) national animal and even those used for experiments are kept with their welfare in mind.

Wild specimens do exist and tend to be a bit smaller but are quite rare due to environmental factors and encroaching populations of Ferron.
