_{It was a nice spring day, a perfect day for some skateboard training, though Nathan was lying downbeat on his bed.
His best friend Sean was in New Orleans to meet his parents, for a wedding. He would have been away for a few weeks.
Nate missed going skateboarding with him.
Gwen was baking cupcakes. She was done with her studying for that week. Unlike Nate, Gwen was not a procrastinator and during her free time, she loved to bake something sweet for her friends, especially for Nathan. And Nathan loved cupcakes. Especially Gwen’s.
-Cupcakes ‘r ready! She called Nate with a sweet voice and put the tray with six cupcakes on the table.
-Yeah comin’. Was the careless reply of her friend.
-What’s up with you? Asked Gwen as Nate slowly walked towards the table and sat down looking all blue.
-You usually run for cupcakes! She smiled. You miss Sean, don’t you?
-Heh. He sighed picking up a cupcake and giving it a bite.
-You know, maybe it is the right time I try this skateboard of yours! She chuckled.
Nate stopped eating his cupcake and stared at her with an incredulous look on his face.
-I am done with my studying for this week.. She continued. So, as long as you won’t make a fool of me, we could go skateboarding together.. maybe.. if you want to. She rushed the last few words as she was blushing, she turned away from him, heading to the sink to was the dishes.
-I never thought you liked skateboarding. Stated Nate putting the bitten cupcake on the table.
-Well I do. I mean.. She replied a bit embarrassed. You and Sean always seem to have a lot of fun.. I have never tried..I-
She stopped talking as soon as she felt her friend standing up and walking towards her. He moved next to her and started helping her with the dishes. She blushed slightly.
-You will probably like it. He smiled.}
