Gosh yes! Actually it happens surprisingly often in nature! My rat Gene is a good example haha, he's normally lazy and cuddly but he was explaining to his brother he's the dominant one yesterday and everyone involved was sort of terrified (nobody injured except for psychological trauma, no worries). Poor thing gets so stressed out after he's all badass though.
