Jackie is a well-respected nurse in the city of Emport, and, later, Xexul. However, her greatest significance comes from the fact that she is Rex's adopted mother (whom he affectionately calls "Grandma"). She is a compassionate soul who hates to see others suffer and, while having no anakelictics (yeah, I made that up) of her own will do anything in her power to help them, at which time she will be fiesty towards anyone impeding her goal. "Nurse Jack," as many call her, at first disapproves of Rex's life-endangering heroics in Xexul (which start at age 12), but gradually comes to accept him as the city's savior as he defeats each and every monstrosity thrown at him. Sadly everything that was after 'sadly' is a spoiler and will be added back at a later date.
