The orphaned child of Victor and Cassandra Lightning, and the main protagonist of The Spies. At the beginning, he is a rather brash and abrasive individual (traits he keeps, albeit mellowed later on) with little patience and a short temper. Gradually, as he defeats more and more of Vaal's minions and the megalomaniac himself, he softens a little and forms new alliances and friendships. This is especially true after he meets Sparktrivis, his adviser and guide, Master Furon, the man who teaches him new powers, and Rashada Goddis, his love interest and fellow protagonist. In battle, he relies on speed and accuracy more than strength--his build, martial arts fighting style and general nature of his attacks reflect this.
