that's crazy. I'm fascinated with video game sound design. I've legitimately considered doing it as a career. Satoshi Murata sfx are the best. He did sound design for Treasure in the 90s and the combination of him and Norio Hanzawa delivered some of the best sound of the Genesis era. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEi0YPpttf0

This is similar to what I would hear if I completely stopped trying to think how I do. The last time that actually happened, I heard an extensive jumble of what sounded like a mix up of several sound effects from Sega Genesis games, Commodore 64 games, NES games, CPS1/CPS2 games, and very much sound of other retro 2D games.
I love this. :)
