Let me start by saying this: tanukis and raccoons are not the same thing. Tanukis are a Japanese dog, raccoons are an American... protor... whatever it is. "Tanuki Power" just sounds more interesting than "Raccoon Power".

Anyway, the story goes that I was at a web site, and my custom title in the forums was "Tanuki Power!" One day, I became an admin there, and lost my custom title in favor of the admin title. I still liked my custom title, so I created this to use as my avatar. Granted, it's a little oversized, but I could shrink it down when I need to.

In case it's not obvious, this is a big reference to Super Mario Bros. 3, one of the influences behind my fursona, as well as my involvement in the furry fandom in general.
