A couple of friends of mine had a REALLY rough time last weekend, so I wanted to draw things to cheer them up. ;w; This is for Amber. It's a (HEAVILY) revamped version of this sketch from last summer. I've gotten so much better LMAO.
I'm seriously so happy with this oh my god. |D I finally figured out how I want to paint! EXCITING. And I learned how to paint metal!

Ooo, yes, I actually know what you mean! I actually thought about it while drawing it. |D I love drawing the gums of canid(-ish, I know hyenas aren't but they LOOK kinda canid) stuff. Kinda a recent development of mine, but I'm having a lot of fun aaa~
And thank you. ;w; I love love LOVE hair so much, I just haven't done many refined pieces since I got better at drawing it. This is pretty much my first one LOL. (Unless you count this, which is more stylized but still linearted kiiiiinda detailed...ly? I guess? It's still not as detailed as this one though.)

Mhmmmm yes! Canine gums are really fun to play with, especially in snarly poses ahhhhh (and I feel you on the hyena thing; they really don't look like feliformia creatures visually ahahahahaha)

Yeah really. :D This was really my first time working with that, and IT IS SO FUN. Although, uh, my fursona isn't exactly supposed to be a canine, just canid-like, so I took a little liberty there.
HAIR IS JUST MY FAVORITE oh my god. ;w; I'm lucky because my favorite characters of mine have a TON of it so it's just like. SO FUN to draw them.

You should totally braid his hair or put it in pony tails-- or just in general mess with it until he has 233525 hair styles, with most of them being grossly unwanted

Yeah, that's actually how I ended up with that picture of Dimas (the elf guy with way too much red hair) with a braid. I was suddenly just like HOLY SHIT DIMAS WOULD LOOK GOOD IN A BRAID and then I had to draw it. |D The funny thing is he'd NEVER go through that much effort himself - especially not with the flowers LMAO - because he's pretty logical and kind of lazy. But his boyfriend Adrian definitely would braid his hair because he's just cute like that, SO THE BRAID BECAME CANON. :D
...I have no idea what I could turn Adrian's hair into, though. In canon stuff it's only shoulder-length, sooooo... (Although we have a fairy tale AU where he's a princess and has longer hair so TEE-HEE I could definitely mess with it there.)

I really like how you made the lips around the teeth look. It really makes it look like the lips are formed around the tooth instead of just like-- hanging limping or something ahahhaha
Also, that hair looks super rad
