A look at Characters from Chap. 08 of Something Wicked and the organization, The Royal Casters.

Royal Casters- Royal Casters are sorcerers who work for kings and other royals. They are somewhat a mix of a guild and guardsman corps, as they consider themselves a guild but they only work for royal families and follow orders from royals/nobles. They are called forth to do their duty in many ways like exorcising a ghost town, capturing a notorious criminal mage, or stopping an uprising. Royal Casters come from various backgrounds, races, and magic schools; Some are war mages, others are psions, and even more others are clerics or paladins, but all of them are the most powerful and skilled sorcerers of a kingdom. Apart from the royal casters of separates kingdoms like the four great kingdoms of Ranell, there is also the World Royal Casters, the elite of elite sorcerers. These casters are under the authority of The Great Sovereigns plus the High Mages Council and possess powers said to be on par with high mages and even minor gods. Here are a trio from the Cambino Branch of the Corps:
Inspector Aristedes Icarnus- Icarnus is an inspector for the Royal Casters. As an inspector of the Royal Casters, Icarnus investigates requests for the Royal Casters’ presence and aid. However, the factors for Royal Casters to be called in requires it to have some barring upon the kingdoms, like an impending rebel force or the abduction of a member of one of the royal families. Aristedes is a gifted sorcerer though not by same standards of his peers in the Royal Casters. Though having some combat spells, his main skill set is focused around communication and transportation spells granting him better ability to do his job by teleporting to areas and sending messages to the Royal Casters HQ. In chapter 8, Icarnus comes to Wildan by request of Saul Matrin for the Royal Casters involvement in the removal of Magra forest. Thought the request is originally denied, he takes interest when Prince Anthony goes missing and it’s believed that the prince has been abducted or slain by druids or ‘ghosts’.
Achaean Nymcae- a powerful member of the Cambino Royal Casters. Nymcae is among one of the best enforcers of the Royal Casters, generally called in on jobs that require a great deal of brute force and power. Before becoming a royal caster, Nymcae was in the employ of the Royal Army of Galmick as a war mage. However his great skill in battle and tactical use of magic, gained Nymcae entry into the Royal Casters. Nymcae’s mystical abilities focus around the use of augmentation spells to enhance his physical prowess in battle and his durability to pain.
Helena Lesaun- another powerful member of the Cambino Royal Casters. From a young age, Helena Lesaun always had a heightened perception of mana on an almost Psionic Level. Her perception also allows her a greater ability to tap into mana around her mainly utilizing powerful elemental spells. Her psionic abilities and elemental mystical prowess got the attention of the Royal Casters who recruited her as a member.
