Hive
Real Name: Robert Reem
Species: Meerkat
Abilities: Technopathy, Technological expertise, Limited Hand-to-hand combat
Arsenal: Mechamites- These sophisticated nanobots are capable of numerous feats when together. They are designed to look like insects, possessing six legs, small wings, and pincers to gnaw through substances like concrete or iron. They can work together to disable a security system, form a hand or solid tool to overcome an obstacle, or Hive’s favorite function, form into a sleek, sophisticated mechanized exoskeleton. At first the only way to control them is via the King Mechamite Headset but when it is destroyed and Hive discovers his new ability, he becomes capable of controlling them with his mind alone.
Mechamite Hive- This metallic backpack-like device houses the millions and millions of Mechamites. It is used as an charger and housing device for the mechamites so they do not run out of power during battle. Hive generally carries the hive to stay close to his creations. the hive can be modified by the mechamites to become a jet pack.
King Mechamite Headset- This headset like device picks up specific brain waves and translates them into telepathic commands for the Mechamites, allowing Hive to control them. When Darkwing Duckette damaged the headset, the feedback from the device gave Hive his techopathic ability. After fixing this device, Hive discovered that the headset now increased his technopathic power to reach not only his mechamites, but other robots and devices.
King Mechamite Eyes- This is an additional invention Hive creates allowing him to use cameras within his mechamites to view a situation for their perspective or spy on an adversary.
Background: Robert was once an amazing robotics expert, inventor, and research scientist who worked for Tortsla Tech. He was bold and brilliant in all fields of robotics but his specialties were nanorobotics and alternative technologies. He helped with different nanorobotic projects at the corporation but within the past year he had been developing his masterpieces; Mechamites, an insect colony-based set of nanobots, and the King Mechamite headset, a special controller for his nanobots that would revolutionize remote control of other machines. He was sure that this would lead to a new life for himself and the world. Unfortunately, when he showcased his new inventions to the C.E.O. and the board of directors, it was decided that while his inventions were very cutting edge, they were too expensive to produce more of them. At this set back, Robert decided to use his invention against the board and hit them where it hurt the most; by stealing from each of their bank accounts. While he tried to pull of this series of robberies, he faced off against Darkwing Duckette. During the robbery, Darkwing Duckette damages the headset, apparently disabling Robert’s control over his nanobots and causing the nanobots to go inert. When Robert is jail pending his court date, he becomes the target of his cellmates who decide to bully him. One night, Robert is being beaten and starts mentally crying out for help. At this cry, the mechamites become active and go to the cell. As his cellmates’ brutality gets worse, the Mechamites swarm into the cell killing the attackers. After the attackers deaths, Robert concludes that the feedback from the headset must have given him a telepathic link to the mechamites. He then goes forth with his swarm, discarding his identity as Robert Reem takes on a more fitting title; Hive.

I really liked making this character. I just sort have wanted a technopathic villain and loved the idea of Hive. Enjoy.
